Problem with Cornerstone. Error when switching from Layout to Element or Inspect

Hi
I’m having some issues with Cornerstone. When switching from the Layout menu to the Element menu Cornerstone stops working and takes me to an error page. I installed recently Xtheme. I thought it could be a plugin issue but it wasn’t the case.
Can somebody help me, please?

Hi @Justaman78,

Thanks for reaching out.

I’m not sure what issue you’re getting, but I may able to find out if I checked it from your builder. Would you mind providing your site’s URL and admin login credentials in a secure note?

For the meantime, please check for the following first:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. If you’re using a caching plugin, clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. Remove custom CSS, Javascript and templates.

  6. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.

  7. Contact your host to increase your allocated memory or do it yourself by adding this code in your wp-config.php

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

Thanks.

Hello @Justaman78,

To resolve this issue, simply go to WordPress settings, Settings > Permalinks and select your permalink setting and hit saved. You may select post name or custom structure. After saving your permalink settings, edit the page and test again.

Please let us know how it goes.

Hi
Thanks a lot for your help. I have another question but I don’t know if I gotta open a new threat. In case you could answer here, I’m trying to create insert one image on the home page, but I want the image to go from one side of the page to the other, basically to not be constrain by any border on the short sides.

Thanks.

Hello @Justaman78,

To be able to have a fullwidth image in your homepage, please edit your homepage and do the following:

  • Please change your page template to Blank - No Container | Header, Footer. For more details about page templates, please check this out: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/features-page-templates/50/1
  • And then click the row containing your image. Make sure that the Inner Container is disabled so that you will have a fullwidth row.

Hope this helps.

Problem solved. Thanks a lot :slight_smile:

You’re most welcome!
