Problem with blog links

Hello

I have a issue with my blog links. When you click on a post, it successfully brings you into the post. However, when you click the word ‘blog’ in the hyperlink. It doesn’t bring you back to the main blog page. It brings you back to the home screen rev slider. How can I set up the links to bring you back to the main blog page?

Also, is there a way to add in short summaries of each post on the right side of the page once you open a blog post? I want to do this to invite viewers to keep reading vs have to go back to the pain page.

thanks

Hi Chris,

Thanks for reaching out.

That’s weird, the post meta (category) should correctly link you to the category page which is currently blog. And it appears to be a redirection. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time. Else, please provide your admin login credentials in the secure note and we’ll check the blog category in the admin.

About the summary, you mean excerpt? Yes, it’s possible by enabling the sidebar of the post, please check this https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/articles-posts-page-change-default-to-full-width-without-sidebar/58772/2. Then simply assign an excerpt widget to the main sidebar in Admin > Appearance > Widgets.

You can install the plugin mentioned here https://jonathanmh.com/wordpress-page-excerpt-widget/ which is https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-excerpt-widget/, and use it on the sidebar.

Thanks!
