Pro update to latest version from 1.2.7 breaks cornerstone tabs

Hi there,

After updating to the latest version of Pro last night (from 1.2.7) I noticed the tabs weren’t clickable anymore. Reinstalling 1.2.7 has fixed the issue. I’m assuming this is a bug?

Hello @jetlag,

Thanks for asking.

As of now we don’t have any reported issue regarding Pro Theme Tabs. Additionally, we don’t recommend our customers to update live website. It’s always advisable to update theme on a staging server, so if a issue comes up, same can be resolved without affecting live website.

As you have restored the website, it’s difficult for us to take a closer look. Do you have cache system working on the website or server? As most of the time, cached files cause the problem.

Can you copy the website on a test server and then update the website and see how it goes? In case same or new issues surfaces please let us know.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Sure, here’s the updated staging site:
https://marlycamino.staging.wpengine.com/?post_type=camino&p=5889

You’ll see a little down the page the tabs (Meals, Accommodation, etc.)

The only difference to the site https://marlycamino.com is the Pro theme version.

Thanks!

Hi there,

The given URL leads to a 404 not found page. Please kindly give us the URL/User/Pass of your staging website using the Secure Note and the exact name of the page that you have the tabs in.

Meanwhile, please follow the steps below in the staging website and get back to us with the result:

  1. Go to Pro > Settings and click on the Clear Style Cache button.
  2. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.
  3. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  4. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options or Child Theme and test the case.
  5. Increase the PHP Memory Limit of your server. Click here for more detailed information and how to increase the PHP memory limit.

Thank you.

Hi there,

Thanks for the feedback. I did pretty much all of those steps before contacting support.

Appears to be a problem using a child theme and upgrading. Have had the same javascript problem on a another site. Upon activating Pro instead of the child theme it works fine. Then re-activating the child theme works as well.

Thanks for updating in! You’re absolutely correct. The problem was on your child theme somewhere between the lines in your functions.php. I’m glad to hear it’s now working.
