Pro theme upgrade from version 2.5.5 to 3.0.4

Hi,

Regarding the email you have sent out (subject: New Update, New YouTube, New Sale!).
The email indicates that you have reached a stability release for Pro 3.4.

We want to upgrade the theme but we have three questions first:

  1. Are you familiar with an issue regarding an upgrade from version 2.5.5 to 3.0.4?
  2. Why the email indicates version 3.4 but at the APEX dashboard the latest version is indicated as 3.0.4? Is that a typo?
  3. Why the stability release at the APEX dashboard is indicated as 2.5.5, but at the email you sent it is indicated 3.4?

Thanks.

Hi Amir,

Thank you for writing in, 1) Not with the 3.0.4 stable version, though there are common issue tickets after the update, but those are caused by incompatibility issues, like an outdated version of Wordpress or with X the Cornerstone is not updated. Another common one is caching related.

Remember to clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

You can read our Pro 3.0.x, X 7.0.x, Cornerstone 4.0.x release notes and changelog page for more details about this release.

  1. Sorry about that, the latest versions are Pro 3.0.4, X 7.0.4, and Cornerstone 4.0.4

  2. Both versions are stable, the 2.5.5 is the stable version of the previous major version (Pro 2), and the 3.0.4 is the stable version of the current version (Pro 3).

Hope this shed some lights,
Cheers!

Thank you!
We will review the version upgrade on a test environment and will let you know if we have a question.

You are most welcome!
