PRO THEME - BUDDYPRESS Message Sending Issue

Hi there,

I’m creating a site with PRO and BUDDYPRESS and most features seem to work fine, but there are some weird issues.

For example, if I try to send messages: http://consteach.ramazuri.com/members/pbalazs89/messages/sentbox/

And click on compose, nothing happens. However, If I refresh the page, the compose video appears. Here’s a video of it. Also, notice that there are some errors in the console, despite not having any other plugin turned on.

Is there a way to create a separate registration page for teachers / students.

Hi @Pbalazs89,

1.) Please try switching to default theme and then check this function again. See if the issue still exists even if using default wordpress theme. Let’s see if this is an issue with theme integration or the buddypress itself.

2.) It is possible but it will include customization that would outside the scope of our support. The following might help:

Thanks for the tips. I tested for a theme conflict and looks like it is.
Any tips on fixing it?

Hi Balazs,

Thank you for the video. Please try to downgrade to Buddypress version 4.3.0. That is the compatible version of the plugin with the theme. Let us know how this goes.

Rolled back to 4.3.0 / Issue still persists. Any other ideas?

We’re sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. I made a thorough investigation and I can confirm this is a bug. The developers have been informed regarding this already. Once they’ve fixed this, it will be updated and rolled out in the next update release cycle.

Unfortunately, we can’t promise an ETA. Most likely it will be part of the compatibility testing of the next version available.

Any ETA on that perhaps?

I need to finish this project by September, and this is an important feature for them.
Is there perhaps an older version of PRO that you are sure does not have this issue? That would be fine for us if this were to resolve the issue!

Regretfully we don’t have a date yet but I checked and this has been submitted this to our issue tracker so the developers will be made aware of it. We don’t recommend using the older versions so please bear with us.

Hey guys, Just to help a bit in return.

I figured out that the bug is connected to the SKIN used, if you use Legacy, the messaging function works fine. The problem is with the NOUVEAU Skin.
