In Australia iphone 6’s are used still.- I just spent the last month building the headers for each page- are you telling me that I cannot use them?- its the reason I went with pro in the first place not happy at all

Hey @b960a518-a049-4215-9,

We understand your concern and how you feel. However, the theme only follows what browsers WordPress officially supports and iOS 8 is no longer supported since the latest is iOS 11 and the least supported version is 2 versions back which is iOS 9. You will need to notify your users to update to the latest iOS and Safari version. iPhone 6 I believe could be upgraded to the latest software version.

You can integrate a script or plugin offered in https://browser-update.org/ to encourage your users to update their browsers. This, of course is a third party plugin. For usage instructions and questions, you will need to contact the site owner.

We know this takes an extra step and might be counter-intuitive to you. But, every OS and browser user should update to the latest software version due to security reasons among other advantages.

And the reality is, in the theme development side, it is not feasible to support old technologies. For instance, if old browsers are supported, the theme would very slow because of additional browser specific properties. I hope you understand our position regarding this.

Once you or your user has updated and the issue persists, just let us know and we’ll continue checking the issue.

Thank you for understanding.

Hello @b960a518-a049-4215-9,

Thanks for updating the thread.

I understand your concern about the user base but please understand that we follow the development guidelines laid by WordPress. And support for iOS 8 has been dropped, mentioned in Browser support handbook. My colleague @christian_y has shared a workaround that you can use to notify users to update browser and platform.

Thanks for your understanding.
