PRO - How to enable sidebars?

Hi friends,
Thank you for your attention. My ecommerce site is live on the tubes and looking pretty good. I’d like to add some sidebar content to my woocommerce product and category pages that would include filtering and sorting depending on user input. While I’ve found a plugin to handle the filtering, I’m having a tough time enabling the sidebars on my shop pages. Changing the template did not work and reverted to ‘Default Template’ upon saving Edit/Quick Edit options, so I’m hoping that somebody will be able to help me. Please activate sidebar from Appearance > Sidebar and then assign the same to your shop page. https://cloudup.com/cy2lkHKDS6R:

After that you need to add widgets and that can be done from Appearance > Widgets. You can learn more about sidebars on following post.
