I searched but didnt see any locations given. How do we roll back Cornerstone to a previous version?
Ok, I figured out why Cornerstone isnt working on my install. There is no option to Allow Super Admins on a Multisite install to use Cornerstone. If we login as Admin, it all works fine, but not as Super Admin.
Hello There,
Thanks for writing in! Please update your theme and Cornerstone update to the latest version. X 6.1.2 and Cornerstone 3.1.2 has a better control over the permission. This new version has the Permissions Manager that you can use now.
Hope this helps.
Without sounding rude, like I said before, the new version does not allow SUPER ADMINS which only exist in a multisite install, the ability to use cornerstone.
Super Admins are not listed in the new permission manager at all, so I can’t use the new permission manager.
Hi there, I’ve checked on Multisite and the Super Admins should just be treated as an administrator. I’m able to edit content just fine. Would you mind sharing login credentials for your network? We could take a closer look to see what the differences are that might cause this to happen. You can do this in a secure note. Thanks!
I know they should be… Mine are not and I am running 3.1.3 Cornerstone and 6.1.3 X
Sending my login so you can see…
Thank you! You can remove that login now. I found the discrepancy. This is something we will need to address with an update. Take a look at the admin page in my secure note. When a Super Admin creates a site they are automatically setup as a local Administrator of that site. At the moment the super admin accounts will be able to edit any of the sites they are associated with. We need to add some logic to supercede this so Super Admins can still be granted the Administrator level permissions.
Thanks for the reply Alex! Just so you know, WP does not automatically add the Super User as an Admin, that was something we did for a while but stopped doing as it became a memory issue with how WP handles things. We do have a separate login that is an Admin that we can add to get things completed until you have a patch ready.
Thanks again for looking into this!
Yes, I understand. It was something we overlooked since our testing sites just have all the Admins assigned but I realize that’s not everyone’s workflow. We’ll see what we can do to fix this for the next update.
Hi again,
I just wanted to let you know that this has been addressed for the next point release.
Thank you for the quick turnaround! You guys, as always, exceed all expectations…
You’re welcome! Hoping to have that out on automatic updates today.
