Posts Not Displaying

I’m using the Ethos 1 Template, and I can’t seem to get posts to display. I’m not talking about the “filter by type” area - that works just fine. I’m talking about an individual post’s page. When I go to the posts page, there’s just zero content there besides the header and the sidebar.

An example of this happening is at http://movies.harmonherring.com. Just click on either of the posts on the front page filter and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Thanks for the help, loving X so far!

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! This issue usually occurs in Ethos 1 demo because of the Filterable index settings. Please go to X > Theme Options > Ethos > Blog Options and remove the Category IDs. If you want to have a normal blog index, please disable the Filterable Index option.

We would loved to know if this has work for you. Thank you.

Thanks for the idea, but that doesn’t seem to have worked for me. I’ve removed the Category IDs, but the post content still isn’t displaying on each posts’ individual page. For example: http://movies.harmonherring.com/2018/04/05/demo-affiliate-marketing-101-self-hosted-video/
There’s just nothing there. There should at least be some text, and even in my custom blog posts I’m not seeing any text - just a mostly blank page, besides the header and sidebar.

Hi There,

Thanks for the update!
We would like you to send us your login details in a secure note so that we can have a look what exactly happening on the site. Before that we would also like you to check few troubleshooting processes, there might be a fix.

Please check for the following first:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. Clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugins and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. Remove custom CSS, Javascript and templates.

  6. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.

  7. Contact your host to increase your allocated memory or do it yourself by adding this code in your wp-config.php

    define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’ );
    define( ‘WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘512M’ );

In case the issue persists, would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? Please provide following information:
Set it as Secure Note

  • WordPress Admin username / password
  • FTP credentials
    All the best!

Not sure of the best way to create a secure note (hence the deleted post, haha), so I’ll add it on to this post

Hi,

The logins provided doesn’t seem to work.

Kindly check again and let us know.

Thanks

Both are working fine for me, capitals and characters are correct, as well as the number?

Regardless, I’ll put my personal login info in a secure note here, and hopefully that’ll work.

I apologize for the issue

Hi harmonherring,

Please go to (X > Theme Options > Ethos > Post Carousel) and select any other option rather than “Featured” under “Display”. Then click “Save” and your post content should appear just fine.

If you have any post with either of these checkboxes is selected, this issue won’t happen:

This has been reported to our dev team for further investigation.

Thanks.

Thank you so much for your help! That works perfectly

I’m glad to know that, you are welcome
