Possible to make a series of pages have a sidebar?

I’m using the renew stack of x theme and have a fixed menu bar on the right side (see: highresponsemarketing.com)

I would like to however have a series of articles (pages) that will be full width with no menu bar on the side, with a fixed sidebar on the left that has the links to the various “chapters” of the series (links to other pages). Just like this: https://www.digitalmarketer.com/digital-marketing/digital-marketing-strategy/

Is that possible?

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! You can create a separate sidebar and assign your specific pages. Please refer to our guide here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/features-unlimited-sidebars/95).

You can add a custom CSS rule to make the sidebar sticky.

Thanks!

thanks, this sounds like exactly what I need but for some reason I can’t get any sidebars to display. I’ve followed the instructions to a T (I believe) and can’t get my custom sidebar to display anywhere.

I have:

  1. Created a sidebar and assigned it to a specific page: highresponsemarketing.com/newbie-guide
  2. Added some dummy text to the widget area for the new sidebar
  3. Also tried assigning the sidebar to posts with a certain tag - which hasn’t displayed either.
  4. I have also tried choosing most all templates available for pages in case that has to do with it - still can’t see my sidebar appear anywhere.

Any ideas?

Hi again,

Make sure you’ve Content Layout set to either Content Left, Sidebar Right or Sidebar Left, Content Right in Appearance > Customize > Layout and Design > Content Layout and the page template is not set to full width.

Let us know how this goes!

got it, working now thnks!

You’re most welcome.
