I’m wondering how i can fix the issue i’m seeing with the paralax images on my homepage being jumpy.

Hey Eyedia,
It turns out that some of the background options were turned OFF. Please go to X > Settings > Permissions > User Preferences > Advance Mode and set it to “Always ON”.
And then when you edit the page, adjust the background and parallax option:
