Paragraph font is bold and italic in places on the site

Hi there,
I am having issues across this site: https://www.whisperingsprings.ca/. When I use paragraph text in some areas it randomly is showing up bold, sometimes italic and sometimes instead of the color I have set for the font, it’s coming up black.
Here are some examples:
Example1: https://www.whisperingsprings.ca/
In the 4 feature boxes underneath the main image, the headings and paragraph text under the 4 images is bold and black. It should look like the font on that same page that is under [glamp-ing] a bit further down the page. The code doesn’t have any special instructions, it’s just plain paragraph text.

Example 2: https://www.whisperingsprings.ca/our-tents/
If you scroll down to traditional tents, all the feature text under each slider is in italics, but I haven’t set it to italics and can’t make it go back to what it should be.

Also, the bold and italics does not show up in the back end in cornerstone. It looks as it should. You only see it on the front end.
I have also identified that this is only on Chrome.

Thank you for writing in, I see a number of errors on your Theme Options > CSS, please check all your custom CSS here and address those errors.

After clearing that and the issue still persists, please provide us login credentials in a secure note so we can take a closer look.

Also, your X is an update behind, please update that to the latest version (6.1.6) since you already have the latest Cornerstone (3.1.6).

Hi there. When I go to Theme Options>there is no CSS there. Can you direct me to where it is?

Hi There,

Thank you for the credentials, it was set to be font-weight 400 in the first place



Obviously, it will be bolder than the other text (font-weight 300)

I change the paragraph weight to 300 while keep the headings 400, see the difference



Regarding the italics, please inspect the text under TRADITIONAL TENTS, I see a wild opening <em> in there



Please audit your other text content for other typo error like this.

HI there,
This helped with the bold issue on the homepage but it’s still showing up randomly on various pages. For instance here: https://www.whisperingsprings.ca/our-tents/ the paragraph text under Deluxe Tents is bold on Chrome.

And here: https://www.whisperingsprings.ca/tents/ not only is the text bold but the leading is way tighter than the rest of the site. This is a brand new page so now I can’t build new pages because the main paragraph font seems to have something wrong with it.

I checked the first link but I see no bold text especially where you described.

I also don’t see bold text in the other page. What do you mean by “leading is way tighter”? Please also give us a screenshot.

And, please clear your browser cache and also check in incognito mode and other browsers.

Hi there,
I have cleared all caches several times and it’s only doing it on Chrome. I have attached a screen shot of the deluxe tents in Chrome so you can see what I am seeing. Then on this page: https://www.whisperingsprings.ca/tents/ which is new, the text is bold and the line spacing is super tight. All new pages now have this issue rather than being the nice paragraph text I have on the older pages.

Here is that same page in Firefox:
Here is an old page (left) beside a new page (right) The bold is gone but you can see in the paragraph text that the line heights are different. I am not sure why this is happening.

Hi @dtourcreative,

I have enabled your settings for adjusting the spacing of your texts. I enabled it in the X > Settings

You could now adjust the spacing or your setup.
