Pages builds with cornerstone broken after url changing

Hello,

I recently changed the domain name of one of my projects with x-theme. following this change of urls, when i try to modify some pages, as homepage with cornerstone, i have a blank page loaded in the builder and no content appears in the tab on the left. And on the front the relevant pages present many anomalies.
url of the project : http://www.petitsfreres.org/home/

here is a screenshot for the edition of the home page.

I do not know what it’s all about. If someone on a track, I’m interested, thank you in advance

Hey @samboy,

Thanks for writing in.

Changing the domain name in WordPress would require you to update your database with the new domain. Please follow the migration instruction from this article: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/cornerstone-content-builder-migration/126

Hope that helps.

Hey @christian_y ,

Thank you for your answer !

I followed the tutorial, but I still have the same problem, some pages pages are editable with cornerstone and others are no longer. I repeat the procedure several times but the problem persists.

I do not know what to do now.

In that case, please give us WordPress Admin and cPanel access so we could check if the database and see if the builder’s data is still there for your home page.

Please do not edit your home page using the WordPress editor or any other page builders as that would completely delete the data.

If the builder’s data is gone, regretfully, you will need to rebuild the pages that are blank in Cornerstone.

The pages that work, are they old pages or are they newly created?

Thanks.

Yes, I understand, pages have not been edited outside cornerstone.
Pages that work are old page too, that’s what I do not understand in the case.

thanks

Hi Doucouré,

The issue might be caused by some URLs are stll not updated to the new domain.

To confirm that, Please install the Better Search Replace plugin then do the following:

search for http://olddomain.com and replace it with/http://www.petitsfreres.org

Replace olddomain.com with the domain name of your site. Please also note that if the old domain name has www in it, you will have to search for http://www.olddomain.com.

Hope this helps.

Hi @Jade,

Thanks for your reply, i also do that, but that change anything .

I will ask my client to restore the server to the previous state, from there, I will make a clean backup and try again, thank you in any case.

Let us know how it goes!
