Page broken after changing to Layout - Content Left, Sidebar Right

Now, it shows a blank page with the following text: Because of Icon’s unique layout, this template is unavailable in this Stack. Please switch to another Stack if you need to make use of this feature. Thanks!

I have changed back to the previous layout (Layout - Fullwidth), but the site seems broken.

There are created three pages I don’t know why. Realise there is one URL repeated!!!

If I click to edit https://www.edinventa.com/heromask-idiomas/, the actual page that it’s edited is https://www.edinventa.com/heromask-idiomas-3

I cannot rename https://www.edinventa.com/heromask-idiomas-3 back to https://www.edinventa.com/heromask-idiomas

The translation to English (with WPML) seems to be broken too with the same error:
https://www.edinventa.com/en/heromask-foreign-languages/

I have been able to renamed https://www.edinventa.com/heromask-idiomas-2 to https://www.edinventa.com/heromask-idiomas (by changing it to https://www.edinventa.com/heromask-idiomas-5 before).

Then, I have restored to a previous version of the page using the built-in WordPress system:

But nothing has been fix. There is a blank page with the same error page! shows a blank page with the following text: Because of Icon’s unique layout, this template is unavailable in this Stack. Please switch to another Stack if you need to make use of this feature. Thanks!

What could be happening???

Notes:

Thanks for your help

Carlos

Hello @educainventions,

Thank you for the very detailed information. The error message is very straight forward. Please be advised that if you are using Icon stack, you can no longer use the Layout - Content Left, Sidebar Right or Layout - Sidebar Left, Content Right page templates because Icon’s stack design has already adds a fixed left or right sidebar.

Hope this explains it briefly.

But I have changed back to the previous layout (Layout - Fullwidth) and it’s still broken.

And also the independent translation is broken.

And I have not been able to fix it.

I gave you the admin credentials in the previous message. Could you take a look to try to find the problem?

The broken pages are:

And

Thanks so much and I hope you find a solution

Carlos

Hello @educainventions,

Thanks for updating in! You are experiencing a caching issue. Since you are using SiteGround, please clear your site cache or disable the supercacher in your hosting panel. The SuperCacher is developed by SiteGround exclusively for their customers. It increases the number of hits a site can handle and boosts the website loading speed. The SuperCacher includes 4 different caching options for maximum optimization of your websites. You can access the tool by clicking on the SuperCacher icon in your cPanel.

For more information about this, please check it out here: https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/supercacher/supercacher_intro.htm

Hope this helps.

Hi. I have disabled both SuperCacher and Cloudflare. It’s still broken. Any other idea? Thanks. Carlos.

Hi There @educainventions

Upon checking, I see that you’re not fully updated. You’re currently using Pro 2.2.5 and then latest version is Pro v2.3.5. Could you please try updating your Pro theme and see if that helps (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62).

You can also see the latest update related information from here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/release-notes-pro-2-3-x-6-3-cornerstone-3-3/44607).

Also since you have 35 active plugins, I suggest you to disable some of the 3rd party plugins and test your issue further if required.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hi. The last estable version is the 2.2.5 (the one that is installed):

Is there anybody in the support team than can guess why if we edit the page with Pro: https://www.edinventa.com/heromask-idiomas we can see it, but it’s not shown because that weird error?

I have the template saved. Anyway to use the saved template to fix the problem?

Thanks

Carlos

Hi @educainventions,

Could you try sharing your FTP login credentials as well? I’ll try disabling the plugins through that without affecting the existing data. Then I’ll install my own copy of theme.

The issue is the template isn’t fully loaded. The upper part of the code of missing, and if you’ll check the source code, it starts in x-main block right away.

I also recommend re-installing your theme.

Thanks!

Thanks so much!!!

See my FTP credentials in the secure note

Hello @educainventions,

I have logged in and checked your page again. I found out that the page template wasn’t changed. I went ahead and replaced it with “Layout - Fullwidth” instead.

Your page is displaying now. Please check it again.

Thanks so much!!!

Just to sum up and clarify if somebody else has the same problem:

  • After changing the template layout, the page was broken

  • Changing the template layout back from the Pro Editor did NOT fix the problem:

  • The solution was changing the template layout FROM THE WORDPRESS EDITOR:

THANKS SO MUCH!!

Carlos

Hello Carlos,

Thanks for updating the thread.

To be on the safer side, I suggest you to setup a staging server and copy the website files over there and then update the website. In case any issue comes up, same can be looked at without affecting the live website. We have also released a update (Pro 2.3.6) that comes with bunch of bug fixes.

https://theme.co/changelog/

https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-staging-environment-for-a-wordpress-site/

After that please provide us with your WordPress admin, FTP account of your staging website.

Thank you.
