Padding at the top of blog page

Hi there, I can’t get any top padding on this page: https://www.whisperingsprings.ca/cabin-blog/

You can try this in your custom CSS in the Customizer:

.blog{
  padding-top: 40px;
}

HI Don, That didn’t work. Any other ideas?

@donwattz1459, thanks for chiming in! Regretfully, it will not solve the source of the issue with this particular situation.

@dtourcreative, the correct padding is actually present on the page, but there are a couple things happening here that seem to be causing the issue.

  1. You are utilizing UberMenu. The particular styling you are using here is fullwidth and is causing the header itself to be taller than its intended design. This probably wouldn’t be an issue if you weren’t also using…
  2. A fixed header. In X, the navigation areas of the header are not intended to have content that is too large for the area or wraps in any way. If the header were static, at the very least things might flow properly, but when used in conjunction with our fixed styling and a set height, this is what is creating the illusion of improper padding.

Try setting your navbar style to static. If that doesn’t work, you will want to investigate utilizing an UberMenu style that does not force fullwidth, breaking your menu beneath the logo. You will want your menu to appear inline with the logo as X’s native menus do.

Hopefully this helps to point you in the right direction. Cheers!

Okay! I think I have fixed it. Thank you so much!

Awesome! Glad to hear things are sorted. :slight_smile:
