Off Canvas Header | Sidebar - Homepage

I’m trying to achieve an off canvas sidebar (on the homepage/desktop) that toggles when a hamburger is clicked. The rest of the pages would be the regular sidebar. On mobile it would always be the burger.

This site does exactly what I am trying to accomplish: http://www.ottoportland.com/

I’ve searched around here quite a bit but am not finding a related post. I downloaded Pro to see if there’s functionality there that would help… haven’t found it.

On the testing site, here is the page with sidebar showing:
http://velopizzeria.staging.wpengine.com/menu-3/

And here is the homepage trying out a custom header with PRO:

Hi There,

Thank you for writing in, if it just a menu you can use the Navigation Collapse (for desktop) and Navigation Modal (for mobile).

Use the Hide During Breakpoints feature to switch the two on desktop and mobile view.

If your content is more than menu and involve custom HTML markup, please use the Content Area Off Canvas and Content Area Modal instead.

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

It’s not any of those items you pointed out… I know those. If you look at the site I linked you’ll see what I’m trying to accomplish. Making the left sidebar toggle open on the home page and be visible through the rest of the site.

Hi,

Regretfully what you are trying to achieve could only be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.

Thanks for understanding. Take care!
