Not able to validate licence of X The Theme

Hi there

I bought a new licence of X but I am not able to validate it in my dashboard. I found several threads on this topic but none of the steps worked for me. I updated everything I could, increased the PHP memory limit and deactivated Cornerstone. I’ll send the credentials in a private message and would be happy if you could assist me with the problem.

Hey Christian,

It looks like you are using an older version of X which does not support the current validation process anymore.

What you can do it to update X manually then validate your installation. Here is a link for a details information on how to do an update:

Please remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors or any unexpected display issue on the site.

It worked to validate the theme. But now there is nothing visible on my page anymore. May you have a look what the problem is? I updated everything and installed a SSL certificate to get a safer site.

Please install the Better Search Replace plugin then do the following:


    search for http://gruppen-genuss.ch and replace it with https://gruppen-genuss.ch and
    search for http:\/\/gruppen-genuss.ch and replace it with https:\/\/gruppen-genuss.ch

thanks for your help. I’m afraid it didn’t change a thing. At first I thought it might be an issue with Cornerstone. But you don’t see any error for that? I made a backup before I updated and validated anything. I could install that one but then I would also have to update it again in the future.

I checked the website and tried editing page using Cornerstone. The content area part of blank and further inspecting the page I tried to disable all plugins other then Cornerstone and later on Easy HTTPS (SSL) Redirection plugin. But that did not resolved the issue.

Further inspecting the page in Chrome dev tools I see Preview Timeout error message. I then installed WP Server info plugin to see the server configuration. I see that PHP Maximum script execution time is set to 30s. Please increase PHP Maximum script execution time to 300 s and then load the website after clearing the cache.

Wow, you put a lot of effort in the solution. Thank you very much fort that.
I followed your advise in increasing the Max Execution time to 300 s and I cleared the cache as well. Unfortunately, I still only see the brown bar on the top of the page.

Do you have any further idea?

I found what was causing the issue, it was this custom CSS on your child theme’s style.css file.

.x-navbar, .x-navbar-inner, .x-container.max.width {
	display: none !important;
}

I did go ahead and commented that out for now so you can have the content of your pages, please clarify what that custom CSS is for so we can modify it accordingly.

Great, that did work. Now the page displays again. Now I only have the problem, that the formatting of my Ninja Forms is completely gone. But I assume you might not help me with that problem?
