New Fatal error when trying to fix mobile menu issue

I’ve been having an issue with the mobile menu not working on my site, so I’ve been combing through the forums trying to finds a solution. I found a thread that said to update Cornerstone and X. So I updated Cornerstone. I had to log out for a bit and when I came back to update X I logged into wordpress to this message:

Fatal error: Can’t use method return value in write context in /data/41/2/153/81/2642081/user/2899286/htdocs/website/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/classes/admin/class-admin.php on line 286

I am not a coding person, and am relatively new to working on websites. This site was built by someone else that I don’t have access to anymore. How can I fix the current issue of the Fatal Error ~and~ the original issue with my mobile menu.

Let me know what other information is needed. Thank you.

I’m sorry you’re running into this. It is a known issue that is fixed for the release we’ll be putting out this afternoon. If you update to a supported PHP version it will stop happening. More info can be found in the release notes: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/release-notes-pro-2-1-x-6-1-cornerstone-3-1/33890

So how can I get access to my site back?

Hi there,

First let’s get your site back up. Could you try updating to the next version? It was just released. This error was happening on sites running unsupported versions of PHP but we were able to get it fixed. You can read more about it in the release notes: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/release-notes-pro-2-1-x-6-1-cornerstone-3-1/33890
