NEW Elements NOT compatible with Yoast SEO content analysis functionality

WordPress v4.9.4
Theme.co Pro v1.2.7
Yoast SEO Premium v6.3

Hello,

Apparently, the NEW Elements will NOT be compatible with Yoast SEO content analysis functionality, in both “free or Premium versions”

I have done two similar pages:
A) Residential using the NEW Elements. Will NOT send content to Yoast SEO analysis.
B) Commercial using CLASSIC Elements. Will send content to Yoast SEO analysis.

Are we planning to add Yoast SEO analysis functionality to the NEW Elements?

Hi there,

That is correct. We already added this to our Issue Tracker. The problem is that the New Elements store the information in the meta options table of the database which the Yoast content analyzer does not detect.

We either need to completely change our design and refactor code or add new code to force the analyzer to check the section we store.

Our development team is aware of this. Please kindly stay tuned for upcoming releases to have a fix regarding this. Unfortunately, there is no ETA which we can inform here.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Thank you Christopher, it is good to know that this solution will be available.

Please confirm that the search engines crawling system will detect text, headings and image content on the NEW Elements.

Additionally, I’m sharing this note from the tech-support at Yoast, I hope it helps.

If you are using a plugin or theme that doesn’t send their content to our page analysis, please reach out to the developer and ask them about adding the functionality to their code. This KB article will help them with the implementation: Can I add data to the page analysis?

Hi there,

They will be detected by Search Engines without issues. The problem with Yoast SEO is that it only analyzes the data of current editor (WP Editor). It doesn’t analyze the actual and live page where all codes and scripts are processed and generated. For example, if you have a shortcode like this [image] in your editor, Yoast can’t recognize it as an image. Try changing it to <img> and it will be detected as a valid image.

But do Search Engines analyzes the data stored on your site like [image]? It can’t since it’s in your backend. But Search engine can still detect your page’s image since the [image] shortcode is already rendered as <img> in a live page. In summary, Yoast doesn’t see it the same as Search Engines sees it.

But yes, since v2 elements store it now differently, it made it harder for Yoast to see it since it’s only limited to WP Editor.

Thanks!
