Need help!

It seems like with each update my product images are moving farther to the left and the description area is getting larger and larger.

I my thumbnails at first got squashed- that appears mostly fixed- but I have noticed that when there are too many to show in 1 row beneath the main image that they really get squashed- can they display as 2 (unsquashed )rows when needed and how can I get the main image in each product to display larger? I tried changing the width in pixels in the customizer but it did not change the display.

OMG- I just realized ALL my Blog Posts are NOT Visible!!!

That comes first here is a link to what my blog posts look likehttps://carladawnbehrlenyc.com/super-clean-cafe-racer/ This is a link to the category archivehttps://carladawnbehrlenyc.com/category/bespoke/

Hi @cdbehrle ,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Have you cleared the cache after the update? Always remember to clear all caches after doing the updates (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors. Also I noticed you’ve custom CSS which is hiding the images in the posts. You can test for the following first:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. Clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. Remove custom CSS, JavaScript and deactivate your child theme and switch to parent theme (take a complete backup first).

Let us know how this goes!

Please why don’t you let me know what the custom CSS is that is hiding my images???

I did everything else except switch to parent theme- sorry - I don’t want to break anything else!

Is this stuff that was added by wordpress after update??? I suddenly see a lot of display:none

please let me know how to fix! BTW everything is up to date. And all the images are there in the Back end!

Hello @cdbehrle,

Your product images were displayed in a WordPress gallery and the images loaded were just thumbnails. Please load the full images instead. To properly set the gallery and make sure that the images were bigger, please check out this documentation: https://codex.wordpress.org/The_WordPress_Gallery#Step_4_.E2.80.93_Edit_Your_Gallery

By the way, I have been looking for the display:none on the page and I could not find any thing that hides your images. Do you have a cache plugin or may have added a customization to the child theme’s functions.php file? To assist you better with this issue, would you mind providing us the url of your site with login credentials so we can take a closer look? This is to ensure that we can provide you with a tailored answer to your situation.

To do this, you can create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

To know how to create a secure note, please check this out: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/how-to-get-support/288

Thank you.
