Navbar menu not working

Today I noticed that my menu/navbar not working. What not working:

  1. From wordpress menu when I choose option Appearance -> menus (then I move to my main website not to edit menu - so I am not able to edit menu)
  2. When I choose 1 site from my dropdown menu and then try to choose another page from dropdown menu then I cannot choose anything and the page looks like it has not been loaded)

What I tried to do:

  1. Clear all caches
  2. Update every plugin (x theme and cornerstone is up to date).
  3. Disable all third party plugin and leave only cornerstone.
  4. Disable X theme -> clear all cache -> activate X theme

all of the above points did not give the expected result. Could you help me with the issue ?

Hello Michal,

Thanks for writing in!

You have minified and combined the JS and CSS files. Please regenerate the cached files and test it again.

Please let us know how it goes.

Could you help me to do that ?

Hey Michal,

I am not sure which plugins you have installed. Would you mind providing us the url of your site with login credentials so we can take a closer look?

To do this, you can create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

To know how to create a secure note, please check this out: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/how-to-get-support/288

Thank you.

Hi Michal,

I have tried to troubleshoot your issue by purging your cache and also by disabling your caching plugin, but the issue persist.

Then I have used this plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/), disabled all of your plugins (this will not affect your live site users), but still I was able to experience the issue.

I have also tried re-generating your permalink settings under Settings -> Permalinks area.

The next thing you can try is to re-install your WordPress core. This will fix any corrupted or missing files on your WordPress (https://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress).

If you’re still having issues, please provide us with your FTP credentials in a secure note to investigate your issue further.

Thanks!

Hi Michal,

The edit menu page /wp-admin/nav-menus.php is being redirected:

I see that you’re redirecting a lot of pages on your site, besides your plugin redirection what another redirect method you used? Would you mind deactivate those redirections for a while and see if its resolve the issue?

If you only have the plugin redirection, please export all your redirection as a backup, and then Delete Redirection (Tools > Redirections > Options) see the reddish button at the bottom.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!

I found the solution for half of my problems.

In w3 total cache plugin under Minify menu in secion JS I had selected option: "Non-blocking using ‘async’ ". When I select option “Default (blocking)” problem with dropdown menu and not loaded all elements is solved.

I tried to disable redirection plugin but still I do not have access to Menu page.

Update:
I found the solution for second part

I do not know why… but I created redirection for nav-menu on page of my hosting provider.

Thank you so much for the help team !!

Glad to hear you got it sorted, Michal.
