Moving hosting companies (X Theme Site)

Having trouble getting a site moved from one hosting company to another.

I tried using All-in-One WP Migration as recommended in a few of your support threads. Exported to file, created a fresh database and WP install at the new host, and then added the plugin and did the Import.

It looks like it worked for the plugins but no posts or pages, and although the admin area seems fine, trying to load any of the pages in the browser results in a “WordPress > Error” page where the body text is “The theme directory “x” does not exist.”

Any advice or stickied page for this kind of situation? Yes, it would be up at a temporary URL for a day or two because I’m not going to change the DNS to the new host until I’ve tested the site and verified that everything transferred over.

Thanks for the help.

Update: I re-tried the process with a different tool, and then again with All-in-One, and the third time was the charm. Or some combo of the second and third, anyway.

Everything seems to be okay except the license validation. Should I just switch the domain nameservers and then after that process is complete, re-input the code on the new host? Do I need to revoke the license at the old host before or after?

Edit: Is there any way to revoke the license from inside this themeco website? I went to the correct page and do not see the option? (can’t get back to the old host’s admin easily)

Are there any additional concerns common to the migration process?

Thank you.

Hey there,

The license validator detects the domain you set in your license page. It would be best to revoke the license in your old site though and revalidate your new site.

There’s no revoke button but you can edit the domain attached to your license by clicking the pencil icon.

The proper migration process can be found at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/cornerstone-migration/126

Thanks.
