Mobile site menu issue

Hi

I’m facing a problem with the drop-down menu of the page ( https://learn.mobileodt.com/support/ ) when I browse the website using a mobile-phone !

Hello There,

It appears that you are using an older version of the theme. Most of the time, out dated theme and plugins will create conflict in your site. Pro 2.2.5 is now available in automatic updates! This release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (https://theme.co/changelog/). Please do update to the latest version first. After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Please let us know how it goes.

Is there any way to fix that issue without having to update the theme version ?

Hi alonmg,

Unfortunately we can not give support for the older versions of the theme as it can then have many other side effects. Please consider that we are almost certain that the old version is the problem cause. But if it is not after the update then you will need to look into checking for the plugin conflict, possible custom Javascript code might cause the error and finally the child theme.

But at this moment kindly backup your website and update the theme to the latest version and get back to us with the result. Here is the guide for the theme update:

Thank you.

Hi, I already updated the theme, but still, while browsing on the mobile the menu on the page ( https://learn.mobileodt.com/support/ ) isn’t responsive.

Hi There,

This script is causing the issue on that support page.

I’ve removed that script and everything is working fine now.

Regards!

Hi, thank you, but this script is important for the feedback plugin/support
any other way to solve this issue? ( https://learn.mobileodt.com/support/ ) desktop and mobile version is different? on the mobile browser, it’s still showing the page including the script that has been removed.

Hi There,

The form is loading but it prevents all the scripts, HTML, … to load.

Please try adding this iframe code to the text element instead:

<iframe src="https://mobileodt.formtitan.com/ft5eddf4801529565730362#/" width="500" height="300"></iframe>

Let us know how it goes!

Hi, I just did that, but the menu of that page still isn’t responsive while browsing the website on the mobile phone’s browser

Hi @alonmg,

It’s cache related, the menu works when logged in and the only difference is cache for non-logged in users. Please try deactivating the cache plugin and test it again.

And maybe it’s caused by having multiple cache plugin, it’s overkill. Clearing the cache won’t take effect at all.

Thanks!

Thank you !
I deactivated cache enabler, but the website became slower, although it has w3 total cache
Any advice on what cache plugins are best ? and how to make the website faster ?

Hello @alonmg,

Thanks for updating the thread.

There are multiple free and premium cache plugins that you can take a look.

Free: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-fastest-cache/

Premium:

To speedup the website, please take a look at following article.

Please note that the plugins I have shared is not a official Themeco advice. It’s just a personal input that I have shared with you to help you get started. 3rd party plugins may cause some issues and we won’t be able to provide support in that scenario.

Thanks.
