Mobile menu not working on a site

I’m also experiencing this mobile menu not working on a site issue. No Wordfence.

Site: https://spahollywood.com/
Console Errors:
Host: WPEngine

Troubleshooting Steps:
Deactivated all plugins except cornerstone - Problem still existed
Switched to Twenty Seventeen theme - Problem does not exist
All WP/plugins/themes up to date
All cache cleared (Browser, server, cdn, etc.)
Downloaded a fresh copy of the theme and deleted x.js and uploaded a new copy. Same error exists.
commented out all custom CSS - No change.

I have a feeling it has something to do with the “Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘action’ of undefined” But I have no Idea how to fix it.

Hey Don,

Were you able to get this sorted? I have just checked your site and the mobile menu is working fine.

Please try to clear your cache and check again.

Thank you.

Does not appear to be fixed.

I have now tested it in Chrome, Firefox and even cringe internet explorer: http://media.hawks.link/51451f

Completely cleared all files for the site from chrome and used ctrl + f5 to refresh: http://media.hawks.link/1fe4f1

I tested it on my Note 8 - Chrome the menu didn’t work. Samsung “internet” browser - the menu did actually work.

I had the g/f test it on her computer and phone in chrome and it worked in both places for her. (both connected to the same network as my phone/computer) This is just freaking bizarre…

Hello Don,

It seems that you are using CloudFlare. Please login to your CloudFlare account and purge your site cache too. For best results, please make sure that you are using the recommended CloudFlare settings which you can find it here: https://xthemetips.com/using-cloudflare-rocket-loader-with-x-pro-and-x5/928/8/

Please let us know how it goes.

I’m still trying to deal with cloudflare since I don’t have direct access to the cloudflare account.

I just wanted to point out that the link you gave is resulting in a 404 error: http://media.hawks.link/6f5858

Hi There,

I’m another staff and I coudln’t replicate this issue on my end:

I’ve already checked your website on:

  • Chrome & Firefox (MacOS)
  • iPhone 7

Could you please purge all the cache, try in the incognito mode or use another computer then check your website again?

Let us know how it goes!

I finally figured it out. After finally being able to completely cut Cloudflare out of the mix the issue still remained. Turns out it was only for a specific breakpoint.

There was some custom css in play that was breaking the mobile menu for that break point. I did some further research and put some better css in there.

I’d like to do a feature request - theme option to control the mobile menu break point.

Hi Don,

Glad you were able to troubleshoot your issue.

I have added your idea to our feature request section, so that our developers should be able to review it further.

Thanks!
