Missing layout + content in cornerstone

Hi, I recently updated and was also moving my content from a subfolder to root and now when i click x cornerstone, a few of my pages don’t show the layout and content on both the left menu + right preview.

Is this a known issue? how can i get this fixed?

Very similar to

but no fix posted?

Hi Eric,

Thank you for writing in, you said “was also moving my content from a subfolder to root” but that is only migrating the folders and files.

But how did you update the database from yourdoamin.com/sub to yourdomain.com?

Please follow the guide provided here for updating your database.

Remember to clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!

Hi, thanks for responding.

I ended up remigrating. Your link isn’t as complete as some others.

I ended up:

  1. Installing a new version of WordPress on the new domain
  2. Exporting and importing the MySQL manually
  3. Replacing the url to the new domain
  4. Updating the WP config with the relevant db user password
  5. Manually updating the links via cornerstone + revolution slider

More effort but did the job.

Thanks

Hi Eric,

Glad you sorted things out, but yes you have a different migration method specifically the step 1, 3, and 5. The link I provided is only for updating the database which covers your step 3 and 5, it won’t cover moving all site files.

Cheers!
