Migrated X to new server - now won't load

Hi

I migrated a X theme site to a new server however I now can’t edit with Cornerstone, the circle keeps spinning when trying to load a page to edit. I get the url https://lowcostamill.co.uk/x/#/content/(xxx page no)

Also my images are missing, is there a way to rectify these two issues please?

Thanks

Hey Craig,

It seems that not all URLs of your site are not updated to the new domain which is causing the issue. Please install the Better Search Replace plugin then do the following:

search for http://lowph774763_lowcostamillill.uk/wp/index.php and replace it with https://lowcostamill.co.uk and
search for http:\/\/lowph774763_lowcostamillill.uk\/wp\/index.php and replace it with https:\/\/lowcostamill.co.uk

Hi Jade

Thanks for the reply. I’ve tried the solution above and been able to update a few links but it hasn’t updated any of the outstanding site url or image refs. The paths are correct but they’re not showing. Any ideas?

Also still unable to access Cornerstone to edit the page. Try and edit and got the spinning wheel.

Cheers
Craig

Hey Craig,

Thanks again to details!

I can see there is few JS which is not loading properly.
Can you please delete theme and cornerstone via FTP and re-upload a fresh copy.
If you have done any customization please take a backup first. Also please use the child theme.

Let us know if that fixes your issue.

Thanks

Hi, thanks, i’ve done that and can now edit pages although I can’t get into X theme options or the cornerstone menu to edit the main settings, header/footer etc.

The images i’m starting to amend manually.

Hi Craig,

On your previous server, what PHP version do you have?

Currently, you have PHP v7.2.14 this might be the issue, would you mind downgrading your PHP version to 7.0 and see if that resolves the issue.

Changing your PHP Version in cPanel, please contact your hosting support to assist you on this.

Thanks,

Hi, I built it using php 5. something and was recommended to update it to the latest version along with wordpress which I did. I’ve gone back to php v7 and I can now access the Cornerstone menu but not the Theme Options?

Can you advise how I can access this again?

Thanks for your support so far.

Hello Craig,

It seems that you haven’t meet the server requirements to run WordPress. Please check out this page to know more about it: https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/

Please also make sure to increase your PHP time out limit to at least 300s. You may check out this link: https://www.simplified.guide/php/increase-max-execution-time

Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.

Hi. I’ve asked my host to upgrade mysql db. I tried updating the php timeout in wp-settings but that produced a server 500 error. I added the required code to htaccess but I stil cant get into theme options.

Any other remedies whilst my host updates mysql?

Thanks

Hi Craig,

It seems the site is migrated with few issues (incomplete). Even on admin (outside the builder) there are missing files and javascript error. Example, you could try checking the Yoast SEO and it’s not working too. Then most of the error are originating from Wordpress core files.

I recommend remigrating your site again, but this time, please use All in one migration plugin. https://wpshout.com/quick-guides/all-in-one-wp-migration/

The errors are all over the site affecting almost all functionalities.

Thanks!
