Migrated X Theme site per instructions but Pro editor shows 404

I have migrated an X Theme site exactly per instructions on [https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/cornerstone-content-builder-migration/126] (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/cornerstone-content-builder-migration/126)with WP Migrate DB but I still can’t edit any pages because when I click on “Edit with Pro” it shows 404 Not Found.

I have tried to look for answers on the forum but they are all private.

Please advise.

Hello @vladimirvasic,

Thanks for asking.

Please try out the solution mentioned in following thread and let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

Thank you very much for your help Prasant. Yes, the site address was correct with the https:// prefix.
When I change the Permalinks to “Plain” then Pro does load but with:

The preview could not load. This is most often related to a plugin conflict or aggressive page cacheing. Checking the developer console for errors could indicate what went wrong.

Origin URL: https://vistanoho.com

Preview URL: https://vistanoho.com/

There is no caching enabled and I have disabled all 3rd party plugins. The site where its migrated from has post name permalinks which works there but here (on the migrated site) I get a straight 404 on edit with Pro. It is LEMP on CentOS 7 by the way if that matters.

Hi There @vladimirvasic

It seems that 404 errors are not related to Pro. When loading your site URL as a general site visitor, I see lot’s of 404 errors.

Could you please try deleting your .htaccess file by connecting through your FTP account and then re-generate your permalinks through WordPress backend. If you’re still having issues, try contacting your hosting provider as your issue seems to be related to hosting environment.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Thank you for your reply. It runs on nginx so it doesn’t have an htaccess file as far as I know.

Hi there,

It could be that some of the URL on the site are still referencing the old URL.

Try installing the Better Search Replace then search for:

Please double check in Better Search Replace then search for:

http://theoldurl.com and replace with https://vistanoho.com/
http:\/\/theoldurl.com and replace with https:\/\/vistanoho.com

Kindly replace theoldurl.com to the previous URL of your development site.

Let us know how it goes.
