Menu has disappeared from one page of site

The menu has disappeared from the “Toy & Gift” page of my site http://marcspringer.com
In it’s place is the “Assign Menu” tag. The page and menu still exist and it should be functioning. I cannot find an error to get it to reappear.

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! I checked your page and couldn’t see any error apparently. To find out the cause, please check for the following first:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. Clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugins and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. Remove custom CSS, JavaScript and deactivate your child theme and switch to parent theme.

  6. Please enable WP debug mode https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress

Thanks.

Thanks, but no luck on this. Tried all except, #6. Which feels a little out of my comfort zone.

Noticed this first yesterday. Only work being done was using Yoast to improve SEO, but with plugin deactivated still no menu.

Hi there,

I see a menu on your site, have you re-assigned it? Or is it due to a plugin and it’s now inactive? Please provide your login credentials in a secure note and I’ll check it as well.

Thanks!

Haven’t heard anything on this. Were you able to determine the issue using the login provided?

Hello There,

I guess you have forgotten to include the user credentials or you may have removed it.

Anyway, your issue happened because you did not assigned any menu for the primary menu. Most of your page uses one page navigation feature and you have assigned a menu in most pages except for the Toys and Gift page. To resolve this, edit Toys and Gift page and enable the one page navigation feature by assigning a menu. And then you also need to go to Appearance > Menus and must assign a menu as your “primary” so that you will have a default menu for the other pages that does not use the one page navigation feature.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. As I imagined it was something simple I overlooked. Hadn’t worked on the site in a couple of years and forgot this step. Appreciated.

You’re welcome!
We’re glad we were able to help you out.
