Make recent posts display thumbnails

Hello,

on my current page I have a section on my frontpage where I use Cornerstones recent posts element. It works perfectly fine with one exception: The images displayed there are the original sizes of the posts, they are just displayed smaller via CSS. It is best practice for the sake of performance however, to only display sized down version of the image, namely the thumbnails WordPress generates of each image.

How can I make it, so that recent posts doesn’t display the original images, but a smaller thumbnails within the recent posts element?

I use a child theme and I’m very comfortable changing things there, in case there is no other way to do this. Just a hint of which file would have to be edited for this would be enough.

Hello Matthias,

Thanks for asking.

It will require some custom development work which falls outside the scope of support we can offer. However, to get started you can take a look at following article.

Thanks.
