Main-Menu not working in mobile view

X Theme Mobile Menu (primary on top of site) is not working anymore.

please check

Using WordPress 4.9.8
the X 4.6.4 (+ X-Child Theme)
actual Plugins: All in one Favicon 4.7/ All In One WP Security 4.3.7.2 / Contact Form 7 5.0.5 / Cookie Notice 1.2.44 / Cornerstone 3.3.8 / Duplicate Post 3.2.2 / Envira Gallery 1.8.4.1 / Essential Grid 2.2.5 / MultilingualPress 2.11.1 / Simple 301 Redirects 1.07 / UpdraftPlus - Backup/Restore 2.15.3.24 / WP-Optimize 2.2.4 / X – Custom 404 1.1.3 / Yoast SEO 9.0.2

After reading similar topics I tried to solve the problem by

  1. deactivate all plugins
    (except Cornerstone 3.3.8 / Envira Gallery 1.8.4.1 / Essential Grid 2.2.5 / MultilingualPress 2.11.1)
-> did not solve the problem
  2. create a new menu
-> did not solve the problem
  3. deactivate more plugins
    (except Cornerstone 3.3.8 / MultilingualPress 2.11.1)
-> did not solve the problem

By the way theres allways a promt “Envira Gallery: No valid license key has been entered, so automatic updates for Envira Gallery have been turned off. Please click here to enter your license key and begin receiving automatic updates.”
when I’m loggedin in WordPress.

Hope You can help.

Hello Boni,

Thanks for asking.

Menu is not working in mobile view is because you are using incompatible version of X Theme and Cornerstone. As you have updated Cornerstone, please update X Theme as well from 4.6.4 to version 6.3.8.

Please update X Theme and that should fix the problem of mobile menu you are facing. As you are going to update fairly old version of X Theme, you will have to manually update the same. Before doing any changes, please take a complete site backup. To be on the safer side, I suggest you to create a staging server and copy the website over there to test the update process. In case any issue comes up the same can be looked at without affecting live website. Here’s some resources to help you:

1. Backup: https://fizzle.co/sparkline/backup-wordpress
2. Staging server: https://www.shoutmeloud.com/wordpress-staging-site-server-testing.html

1. Manual Update:

Please take a look at following article and scroll down to Manual Update section on instructions to manually update Theme:

To help you get started, you can follow below instructions also:

Manual X Update Via FTP

  • Unzip x.zip on your computer.
  • Rename the x folder to x-updating.
  • Connect to your server via FTP and navigate to your /wp-content/themes/ directory.
  • Drag and drop the x-updating folder into your themes directory.
  • Upon completion, rename the previous x folder to x-previous.
  • Rename x-updating to x. Your site will now be at the latest version.
  • Delete the x-previous folder.
  • Visit the WordPress dashboard at least once to ensure any migration logic can run (this happens behind the scenes).

Please note that you will need FTP softwares like Filezilla to manually upload the files. Here’s a getting started guide that you can take a look.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

Heij, cool now it works again, thank You!
There is still a promt “Envira Gallery: No valid license key has been entered, so automatic updates for Envira Gallery have been turned off. Please click here to enter your license key and begin receiving automatic updates.” , but just for a second.

Cheers

Hey @boni,

Did you purchase Envira Gallery or have a separate license and want to register? If so, please follow the instruction in this thread https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/envira-gallery-license-field/26705/2

If you don’t have a separate license, please ignore the message. That is normal in bundled plugins. You will be able to receive updates from us. For more details, please see https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/extension-envira-gallery/67

Thanks.

Hey Christian,

it´s a bundled Plugin.
Thank You for helping me.

Cheers
