MailChimp Extension Not Working

Hi there,

There seems to be an issue with the MailChimp extension. When entering the name and email and hitting the submit button, it freezes and nothing happens. I’ve emptied cache and tried other browsers.

Hey Tom,

There are a number of factors aside from caching that could cause the issue you described. Please check for the following also:

1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

2. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

3. Switch to the parent theme and test if the issue persists.

4. If you have added custom scripts in your site, please temporarily remove them. Custom scripts can be found in places like Theme Options > JS, widget areas and template files.

Only if none of the listed solutions help, provide us with the URL where you’ve added the email form and also access to your WordPress Admin in a Secure Note. Access to your MailChimp account would also be useful so we could check your setup.

May I know which email you’re trying to register? I tried the mailchimp form and it works without freezing

It’s a bit temperamental but I’m guessing maybe a caching issue. Will let you know if I run into trouble again.
