Live Preview Not Loading

Since updating to Wordpress 5.0.3 and 6.4.6 of X Theme, Cornerstone is not loading properly. Changes can be made to the page, but the live preview is stuck in a loading loop. We already tried clearing the site cache and disabling some plugins that may be interfering. Please help!

Hi There @gocoh

Thanks for writing in! I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this issue. Usually, most possible causes are due to caching or plugin conflicts. Since you have checked caching, also check your PHP version and memory limit. Could you please try following our general troubleshooting guidelines below and see if you can isolate the issue.

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.
  2. Go to X/Pro > Settings and click on the Clear Style Cache button.
  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.
  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  5. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the Theme Options or Child Theme and test the case.
  6. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.

Make sure to clear full cache before testing (https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-clear-your-cache-in-wordpress/).

If you still have problems kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and FTP credentials of your server using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.

Let us know how it goes.
Thank you.

HI @mldarshana,

I’ve attempted all the steps you listed above and still are having loading issues. I’ll send you our credentials in a secure note.

Blessings

Hi There @gocoh

I have tried to connect to your FTP server, but I couldn’t (see secure note below). If you have any firewall enabled or any other restrictions, you need disable them as well.

Also please include your WordPress credentials in your secure note, so that we can check your issue further.

Thanks!

Hi There,

I just used the same credientials and I was able to login. I host my site on WPengine and honestly am unfamilar with any of the firewall issues you are talking about. Did you try to login with SFTP vs. FTP?

I have my credentials in a secure note below.

Thanks

Hi @gocoh,

Thank you for the credentials, it seems its the plugin Photo Gallery is causing the issue.

Try to deactivate that plugin, regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.

Thank you for your understanding.

That was it! THANK YOU!

You are most welcome!
