Link colours not changing

Hi,

I am trying to change my web links colour (default and hover), normally I can change this in the customizer (e.g. see screenshot) or with custom css. For some reason this isn’t working this time, I can’t change the default colour at all - changing the value in the “Site links” field affects the hover colour only instead of the default colour - while changing the value in the “Site links hover” field does nothing. Any advice?

Thanks,
Ariane

Hi there,

This might be caused by a Custom CSS code which overrides the default generated CSS code of teh theme which is the one generated after you choose the proper options.

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.
  2. If you are using a Child Theme, Change it to the parent theme and check the result.
  3. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  4. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options or Child Theme and test the case.
  5. Use the X > Launch > Theme Options settings instead of the Appearance > Customize.
  6. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

If you still have problems kindly get back to us with the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.

Thank you.

Thanks I will give this a try and let you know how it goes

You’re welcome!
