Layerslider not working

Layerslider is showing that it needs to be activated but its already been activated.

In the page edit it displays layer slider but not on the dashboard…

Hi There,

You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Let us know how it goes!

I haven’t added anything new it just stopped working.

Hey @tcb013,

Based on your screenshot, it looks like you’re still using an old version of Cornerstone.

Please ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

Thanks.

Is it possible to have someone take a look at my website. Suggestions are not improving anything.

Hello @tcb013,

Thanks for updating thread.

Can you please share website credentials in a secure note for us to take a closer look?

Thanks.

replied above. Thank you

I logged in and you have not installed LayerSlider (see Secure Note). Please install it first.

Please also give us updated screenshots next time. In your first post, you are using an old version of Cornerstone and when I logged in to your site, you’re using Pro.

Thank you.

Per my original post, layer slider is showing installed and activated in pro. Each attempt at clicking the button yields this message, please see below. Next time, I would appreciate more diligence on this matter. I’m not sure why I would need to update the screenshots after being instructed to update the theme. I would love to have this issue resolved soon.

Hi There,

Please access your site via FTP em remove LayerSlider from wp-content/plugins

Once you do that, go back to your wp admin dashboard and try to install it again.

Thanks!

Thank you.

Are there any tutorials on this or may I have instruction on how to do this myself?

Hi There,

Navigate to your server via cPanel’s File Manager and navigate to this directory /wp-content/plugins/, look for the layerslider folder and delete it.

Navigate back to your admin dashboard X > Validation > Extensions and reinstall the layer slider.

Watch this clip (https://youtu.be/GLgQedRvlo8?t=1m36s), in this clip you see he renamed the folder, but in your case, you need to delete it. Again keep in mind delete the layerslider folder, not the entire plugins folder.

Hope that helps,
Cheers!
