Keep getting a 404 error when sharing from buddypress

Something weird is going on. I have a plugin which shares from buddypress, yet when I do, the image doesn’t come up and I get a 404 error. Trying to figure out where that is happening. Asked wpengine about it, asked the plugin creators, is there any chance it’s an issue with the X-Theme?

Did you mean sharing your post to the socials network file Facebook, Twitter, …(If not, please clarify your issues)?

You can rescrape your website URL using the debug tool of Facebook:

https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

Then click on the Scrape Again button:

Yes. I’m getting a 404 -page not found issue, and supposedly there are redirects. I’m not sure why this is happening.

Hey Peter,

I’ve visited the URLs in your screenshot and they all exist.

We need to first know if X is causing the issue so please test the behavior using the default WordPress theme first.

Also tell us what sharing plugin and we might test it if it’s free and if it’s a plug and play type of a plugin. If not, regretfully, the furthest we can do is check if our theme is causing the issue. If this is the case, please give us WordPress Admin and FTP access in a Secure Note. Please note that we would need to deactivate all third party plugins and switch themes as part of our troubleshooting so if you copy your site to a staging server, that would be best.
