JavaScript framework jQuery codes of Lightbox plugin is not working on pages

Hi,

I had previously Lightbox plugins functionality on my website and all of them were working fine.
After i migrated to the X theme, those codes are not working any more.
I guess the JavaScript framework jQuery is not working with the theme.

My staging site link with the issue is: http://staging.astonishmediagroup.com/in-the-press-demo/

But the same page is still working fine on my live site with other theme: http://astonishmediagroup.com/results/

Please check both pages and you will understand the issue.

Hi there,

It seems that the plugins shortcode is not rendering. Have you tried checking if the plugin is active?

In case it is already active, kind provide us with your admin details in a Secure Note. We can’t really provide support for third party plugin as you will need to refer to the original developer but we could do some checking and see if there is something we could suggest.

Thank you.

I have sent you the log in data for checking.

Sorry but please give us access in a Secure Note because the previous support staff might be unavailable and we don’t have access to private messages.

Thanks.

I have put this in secured note above.

Hi There,

I am able to login and check all inactive plugins. It seems those shortcodes that is supposed to display image with lightbox is not installed. Then I visit the original site lightbox and the it is using fancybox for wordpress plugin which is not available on the staging server.

Please do make sure that both settings and plugin installed on staging and live site is the same. You can confirm it on your live site.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I checked in the past that “fancybox for wordpress” plugin was active too.
However, after your suggestion, i had again re-installed the plugin and uninstalled other third-party plugins to figure out it but nothing changes.

Now, as soon as i changed the theme into the older one, the page displays everything properly as it should be. Have a look on the screenshot below of the same page but with other theme: http://staging.astonishmediagroup.com/in-the-press-demo/

and again as soon as i activate X Theme, it goes back to the broken JavaScript framework jQuery even the plugin “fancybox for wordpress” is installed and activated. (See here the same page)

Most importantly, i have tried other types of plugins for different elements on other pages, but whatever i put like this code is not working. I haven’t seen such things in previous versions of x theme as i have been using this theme for more than 1 years for my other websites.

May be the theme is not accepting the adjustment of JavaScript framework jQuery codes.
Can you please help me to have the adjustment between the theme and such codes?

Hello There,

I carefully investigated your site and our theme. JavaScript framework jQuery is perfectly working in X theme. The problem you are having is this. In your previous theme which is RT Theme 15 (https://themeforest.net/item/rttheme-15-premium-wordpress-theme/781397?s_rank=12). This theme requires extension plugins for their shortcodes and other features to work. And one shortcode which you have used on this page: (http://staging.astonishmediagroup.com/in-the-press-demo/) is this:

[auto_thumb width="300" height="135" link="http://www.youtube.com/embed/B4bLgNjOI5o" lightbox="" align="right" title="" alt="Lucas Candies on the TODAY Show" iframe="true"] http://astonishmediagroup.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/lucas-on-today.png [/auto_thumb]

Now when you moved to X, this shortcode, well of course, will not work because there is no [auto_thumb] shortcode in X. You will have to activate the RT Theme extensions plugin in order for your old contents to work. You will need to figure out which name of the plugin is that or maybe that shortcode is hard coded within the RT Theme which I do not know since I do not have any experience in using that theme.

Hope this explains your issue.
