Issue with X theme website identified as "My Blog"

I’m using X theme and previously updated the Wordpress Site Title and Tagline to something other than the default. I did this about 6 months ago when I first created my website. This has worked fine as this text is used to create the title for the home page.

Yesterday I sent someone a message on LinkedIn and included a link for the naked domain (the home page of my website). LinkedIn included the link and identified it as “My Blog” (see attached image) which is a problem as I expected that the custom title and tagline that I set to be used instead. I searched everywhere in the Wordpress and X theme settings and could not find where the text “My Blog” is coming from. I loaded the home page in a browser, viewed sourced and ran I find for “My Blog” which came up empty. Please let me know where this “My Blog” text is coming from and how it can be changed. Reminder, I already changed the Site Title and Tagline in Wordpress General -> Settings.

Thanks!

Hi There,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I checked your site and I see you’re using Yoast SEO plugin, please check the home page’s SEO settings to find out the “My Blog” text. If this doesn’t help then please test for the following first:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. If you’re using a caching plugin, clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. Remove custom CSS, JavaScript and deactivate your child theme and switch to parent theme (take a complete backup first).

Let us know how this goes!
