Issue with Cornerstone not loading since theme update

Hi There,

I am having some issues with cornerstone on the site. It wont load and we have tried deactivating the plugins.

This has only happened after updating cornerstone and the x theme and it was working perfectly before hand.

The website is www.imaceleb.ie

I have tried uninstalling both the theme and cornerstone separately also.

Can you please let me know what might be causing this?

Hi

Deactivate + delete the Cornerstone plugin. Then head to the X mainpage inside WordPress and wait like 30 secs, as Cornerstone will then auto-magically re-install… and then enjoy a working Cornerstone :slight_smile:

Can you please try testing for a plugin conflict? If you are using Cloudflare, please deactivate it too then test if the issue persists.

Hi, I dont use Cloudflare and have tested for a plugin conflict but nothing is working there?

Hi Michaella,

Thanks for confirming on those. This issue is usually related to some kind of conflict that can be identified by deactivating all other plugins, then seeing if the issue remains. If it’s fixed, reactivating plugins one at a time could lead to identifying the conflict.

If that doesn’t lead to any new information, we’ll need to take a closer. You can provide login credentials by adding a secure note.

Hi Alexander,

I have tried all of this, When I switch off every plugin in still does not work.

I cannot understand how this is happened. The website is connected to our whole server and several other websites so giving out the password is not something which I have permission to do.

Is there any other suggestions you can give me to try?

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. Are you using a caching plugin? If so, clear all caches then completely remove your caching plugin. You can install it again when this issue is solved.

  3. Remove custom CSS, Javascript and templates.

Hi there,

Do you have security firewall such is mod_security in your hosting? It’s not loading because the request is being blocked.

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden) http://imaceleb.ie/cornerstone-endpoint

You should contact your hosting provider to see if there is a way to allow such request, or if they have security logs then ask the reason why it’s being blocked.
