Is there a way to make a "second" editable region to drag sections/rows/elements into?

I am using a sidebar template, and so the main region where I can drag in my sections/elements/etc., is in the “left” column, with the right column being the sidebar.

Is it possible to create another editable, full-width region below the sidebar, that I could drag additional sections & elements into?

Hey @rscaife2,

There are two ways you can achieve what you’ve described.

First, with your current setup, you need to create a global block and add its shortcode in a Custom HTML widget. This way, you have a builder editable area below your sidebar. To learn how to use the Global Blocks, please see https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/global-blocks/24723.

The problem with this approach though is you will work with the global block separately. Unlike the second method which I will discuss next.

The second and the one I’d recommend is you use a Blank template and setup a 2 column row.

Use the left column to display your content and use the right column to display your sidebar or widget area. Add a widget area element in your right column.

It should look like this once added.

You can add elements below that widget area including a global block. See https://youtu.be/ej-5rJ_sS30

Hope that helps.
