Instructions for updating a staging copy to PRO

I can’t seem to find help info easily on your site. You could use a topical index.

Where is the index of instructions for how to:

  • Find the download link for Pro
  • Find an index of available help videos for X, Pro, and others?

I want to test Pro on a staging version without replacing X on the live version. Do I have to go through the upgrade to Pro for that site? Or, can I just install it on the staging site. How/where do I download Pro for testing?

I have seen lots of complaints about the install breaking things. Is there an easy way to do an install so none of the old extensions interfere with Pro?

How is that done, exactly?

I would recommend that you create a staging site. This is very useful because you can test drive any X and Pro updates in the staging area, do the customizations and troubleshooting without disrupting your live site. Once everything is perfect, you can easily and flawlessly proceed the update in the live site. To know how to create a staging area, please check out these articles:

You will have to upgrade one of your licenses to Pro or buy a Pro license first so that you can be able to download Pro theme right in your dashboard (https://theme.co/apex/dashboard).

With the latest Pro 1.2.3, we are now ironing out small issues and conflicts with other plugins. Most of the things works perfectly in this latest release. Just make sure that everything is up to date. From your WP core and all other plugins installed so that there will be no conflicts. If you have a staging site, it is best that you test all the updates in the staging first before doing it in the live site to prevent any further delay with your live site.
