Insert Nivo Slider Onto Home Page

Hello, I am using Nivo Slider and would like to insert it onto our home page but when I tried putting it into the CSS text it didn’t work.

Here’s the code and instructions Nivo gave me:

To use this Nivo slider in your posts or pages use the following shortcode:

[nivoslider id=“7292”]or

[nivoslider slug=“home-slider”]

To use this nivo slider in a theme template file use the following code:

<?php nivo_slider( 7292 ); ?> or <?php nivo_slider( "home-slider" ); ?>

Where do I put this to get it to show seeing as I can’t use the wordpress editor to do it.

Hello Jane,

Thanks for writing in!

If you are looking to add Slider Shortcode into Home page then please add the Shortcode provided by Nivo Slider in Cornerstone Text or Raw Content element.

Thanks.

Hi,

Sorry whenever I put the code into either a text element or content element nothing displays. I tried all the different shortcodes in the ‘classic raw content’ element, the ‘content area’ element, and the ‘text’ element.

Hello Jane,

The Nivo slider may not display any preview when you are in Cornerstone Preview. It will only display on the front end or live view of the page. If nothing is helping, provide us access to your site so that we can check your settings. Please create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

To know how to create a secure note, please check this out: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/how-to-get-support/288

Regards.

ah yes thank you, I didnt realise i had to preview the page

No worries. Have a nice week ahead, Jane.
