Importing Whole Demo Site

I’ve purchased X Theme Pro and used it for many client websites. But have always created websites from scratch. I would like to know how I can take your Gym demo site http://demo.theme.co/gym/ and upload it straight as this is, then just tweak it slightly. A client wants much of what the demo looks like. How do I take this demo site / content and import into WP, to save me a ton of time having to build it all from scratch.

Hi @neilhenry18,

Pro does not have the Demo Content feature as it has the Design Cloud feature. If you want to be able to import the demo content from X, you will have to activate X and import the demo content and enable Pro afterwards.

So you’re saying I should go and buy X Theme (not Pro), install and do the import of the Gym demo content, then upgrade to Pro once Gym is installed (so that I can customize as I need to)? If that is correct, great.

Can you give me the link to where I can find the demo content for Gym?

Hello Neil,

As Pro Theme uses a different templating system it does not comes with demo import feature like X Theme. If you want to take a look at Gym demo, please take a look at following URL:

Hi. I know all about the Gym demo. What I am asking is this… I want to create a website that looks like the Gym demo. If I buy X Theme can I then import the Gym demo site content and media items and I will have the site looking exactly like that?

The Gym demo is an expanded demo. Yes, when you import this demo content, you will have exactly the same demo in your site. To know more about the difference with standard and expanded demos, please check this out:

Thanks, that’s great.

I’ve installed the theme and uploaded the demo content. One question on the slider. Do I need to purchase Revolution Slider or does it come with the theme? I am wanting to setup the homepage slider as is on the Gym demo. How do I do that?

Hi Neil,

Slider Revolution plugin is ships with X/Pro themes. You need to install it via X -> Validation section and activate the plugin before generating demo content.

If you want to start over again, you can use this plugin to wipe all of your current demo content (https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-wp-reset/). Then you need to validate your X theme again, install Slider Revolution plugin (activate it) and then generate Gym demo again. If you have other important pages or posts than your demo content, avoid using the WP reset plugin.
