After I updated cornerstone to 3.5.3 all icons on the feature box have disappeared, how can I get them to appear again?

Since you have plenty of X/Pro licenses, I could not locate your exact site. You need to update both X theme and Cornerstone plugin to the latest version, otherwise it will create incompatibility issues.
The latest version of X theme is v6.5.4 and Cornerstone v3.5.3 as you can see here on our change-log (https://theme.co/changelog/). Then follow our update guide here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62) and make sure that you’re fully updated.
Also please make sure to clear all caches before testing, once you update your theme. You can refer to the following resource if required (https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-clear-your-cache-in-wordpress/).
