I can't save the page anymore

Hi,

I cannot save anymore any changes while working on my website. I only get the information, information is not saved.

And now I cannot even open the page I’m working on anymore! But only get this failure message:

http://nimuefichtenbauer.com/mindsetmasterydeluxe/

Now I have deactivated every single plugin except the cornerstone and ubermenu

But still I can’ access the page or change it.

I also get a notification from Firefox before it completely to stop responding, that part of the script is slowing down the browser.
Also I can open other pages and edit and save them, but not this page.

I never had this problem, it only started since the last update

Update: I now observed the this problem ALWAYS!!! occoured when I changed the button color in the custom CSS .

Thank you for your help.

Nimue

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

I checked and can’t find any issue, it doesn’t load without error either. Would you mind providing your FTP login credentials as well?

For the meantime, please check for the following first:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. Clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugins and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. Remove custom CSS, Javascript and templates.

  6. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.

  7. Contact your host to increase your allocated memory or do it yourself by adding this code in your wp-config.php

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

Thanks.

Hi Rad,
I was not precise with my formulation. It was not that I can open the
page in the browser but can’t open it to edit. There’s no functionality
available in cornerstone, but the error message

And I have already given you my login credentials. And I also have
deactivated all other plugins.

Thank you
Nimue

Hi Nimue,

I tried editing the page and it seems to work on my end.

See Video - https://www.screencast.com/t/xrEbD6xUYs

Can you try it in Chrome Browser.

Thanks

Hi Paul,

Chrome was the first thing I tried. And the first time it did work, but then it showed the same symptoms. I can’t open the pages to edit them.

So why does it work for you and not for me?

Hi There,

Upon further investigating your issue, I see that you have updated your Cornerstone plugin but you’re still using an older version of X theme (v5.1.1). Please try updating your X theme and then test this issue again. You can follow our update guide here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62) and you can download the latest X theme from your Envato account.

Hope that helps.
