Hello,

I need help ASAP.
I just updated my X theme and cornerstone. When i enter Cornerstone it does not work anymore. The style is totally messed up.

My site is Anders-magic.dk

I need help to fix this issue asap.

Thanks

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! Does this issue happened right after you have updated to the latest versions? After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

To assist you better with this issue, would you mind providing us the url of your site with login credentials, if necessary, so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password (only if necessary)

To know how to create a secure note, please check this out: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/how-to-get-support/288

Thank you.

I have updated information.
The issue happened immediately after I updated.

Hello There,

Please double the credentials because it is not working for us.

Thank you in advance.

Please try again. It should be working with this password.

Sorry to be impatient but this is really urgent for me. I cannot do an chances on my site until this bug is fixed. Have you confirmed that you can log in?

Hi @Jell92,

Have you changed the login credentials? I can’t log in anymore

And the issue why the builder is not loading is due to Session expiration, which could be related to SSL/HTTP since your Settings > General URLs are non-HTTP and only forced it through plugin. After changing the URL to HTTPS, it logged me out and now I couldn’t log in.

Please check this too https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-wordpress-keeps-logging-out-problem/, https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/114439/preventing-session-timeout

Thanks!

No I have not chanced the login credentials. It should still work. Are you not able to log in anymore?

I do not understand what you are saying. This problem has JUST occurred since i updated Cornerstone and X, i have never experienced it before.

I need a solution please, I have no idea what the two links you are linked to have anything to do with this issue.

This is how it looks when i try to enter Cornerstone.

Hi @Jell92,

The links are related to the issue you’re having, Session expiration. Maybe it could help you troubleshoot it if you can implement the suggested changes in them. And there is no available solution as of yet as we’re not sure what causing this issue.

I’m able to log in again but yes, the issue is still there even after I did some testing. Could you follow the recommended setup/code from that URL? And please clone your site into staging, just to make sure this issue isn’t a host environment related. Then we could test it there, please provide the FTP login credentials as well in case we need to test it there.

Thanks!

Please don’t speak in so technical terms. I have NO understanding of websites beyond doing the front-end stuff.
Please be EXTREMELY clear on what you want me to do.
I have followed the link to Wp-beginner and it should all run on https as it has always done. It has always worked - until the update - which means the error must be in X or Cornerstone.
I have no idea what staging means. Can you explain?

Please try updating WordPress first. Then, check if the issue persists.

To avoid issues in your live site next time, please follow the best practices in updating your themes and plugins. Please see https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/huge-issue-cornerstone-not-working/42465/14

Thanks.

GUYS!!! IT WORKS!!!
Thanks thanks thanks. I appreciate this so much, you guys rock!

Hi @Jell92,

Glad it’s working now. To answer your previous question, staging is a clone of your site where you can work on without affecting your live site (as your development platform). And there you can test the update before doing it on live site. And we always recommend testing it in staging site especially the update.

To explain it further, here is the link https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-staging-environment-for-a-wordpress-site/

That can prevent any downtime on your live site and it will also allow us to troubleshoot issues without damaging your main site

Thanks!

Hello @Jell92,

Have you added any additional information in this thread? I am not able to figure out the same. Can you please confirm?

Thanks.
