Http/https mismatch in builder error

I have been getting a The preview could not load due to a http/https mismatch. Please check that HTTPS is properly configured on your site. error. This error just popped up over the weekend. My site has been converted to use https since before we started using Cornerstone. I’ve checked that the WP_SITEURL and WP_HOME are prefixed with https. What do I need to do to fix this?

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in!

Please follow this troubleshooting article to solve this issue https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-builder-preview-warnings/14404

Best regards.

Hello Bappi,

I followed that troubleshooting article before opening this topic and have followed the suggestions in this thread. What else can be done?

Hi,

In that case, would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? Please provide following information:

Set it as Secure Note

  • Link to your site
  • WordPress Admin username / password
  • FTP credentials

All the best!

Alright, here is what you requested.

Hi there,

The login credentials have no super admin capability, I can’t even access the list of the plugin.

But looks like you didn’t really configure your site’s URL to use HTTPS, instead, you may be using a plugin or code to enforce HTTPS. It could cause issues since internal URLs are not configured properly. You should disable that HTTPS plugin or code, then manually change your site’s URL to HTTPS then install Better Search Replace plugin to replace all existence of http://example.com/wp-content/ by https://example.com/wp-content/ from all database tables (I use example.com as a sample, you must change it with your domain).

Thanks!

I’ve added super admin privs for you. There is only one HTTPS plugin installed on this site: SSL Insecure Content Fixer. I have tried disabling it, but that made no difference when I tried editing. I installed the Better Search Replace plugin and will try running it.

Looks like that was the issue. We’re back in service now. Thanks!

Glad to hear that

Feel free to ask if you have any other theme issues.

Best regards.
