Http error 500 after upgrading

After upgrading today I get http error 500. Seems like it has stopped while upgrading.

On ftp there is a upgrade folder that seems to be latest activity before crash:

Hey @trehesten,

The common cause of this issue is incorrect WordPress files and folders permission. I’ve logged in to your server and saw you have incorrect setup. Please correct the permissions first by following the guide at https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-fix-file-and-folder-permissions-error-in-wordpress/

Thanks.

Site worked fine until updating X to latest version.

Have never changed permissions since install of wordpress site. Have updated permissions, bu still same problem.

Then i changed X folder to X_tmp, to disable the theme. Then site works again. Once i rename it back to X, it stops working…

The question is then: How to activate X again, without reinstall X?

Hi @trehesten

I believe a network issue happened while updating the theme, resulted in a broken update package, you will have to reinstall the theme files/folders again following the “Manual X Update Via FTP” mentioned in this guide:

Thanks.

Updated manually, and now it works Thx.

Glad it’s working now, cheers!
