How to show/display Author's name on a blog/post

Hello…

I’m using X - Child Theme.
When I post a blog, it didn’t show the Author’s name. We have 3 authors, we need to display the author’s name so our readers are not confused about who write the blog.

How can I display it?

Thanks.

As theme support seems to be reduced to zero this year, a lot of users will skip to other themes. Normally, a staff member would have replied to such a question in a few hours. Now, they don’t seem to care anymore. Don’t know why, as this was the key thing to choose ThemeX over other ones who -now- have support you should get. Anyhow;

In the customizer you have all the settings. It also has a tab for BLOG and PORTFOLIO. Just as this works on portfolio, you will have to with ‘Post Meta’ to on. Save, and the author/date/etc will display. If you want to skip the date, you’ll have to make template changes.
There’s also another way if you use ACF and display the custom field of the author in your blog via shortcake.That should be code, but it autocorrects…

@MacMartino,

We have the largest support team we’ve ever had with nearly 20 full time staff answering support questions all day every day. If topics are posted in the wrong forum, that is why there is no response. Please reference this article for how to get support.

@vagansza,

If you have any support questions, please be sure to post them in the Support Forum so our staff will see them. If you are looking for a chat with fellow Themeco customers about customizations or similar topics feel free to use the Conversation Forum.

Ok, Kyle - maybe it’s because we suddenly had to e-mail questions and maybe it’s because the search & find in the new Apex has poor results. I use Google at the themeco old forum to find most answers. It seems weird, but it works. Please keep the old site up and running (!).
I took the time to check the new structure, and see that support is another ‘section’. Seems a bit ‘double’ to me, and to others - as I see the request for help @facebook growing and growing… Maybe we all have to learn the new way. So yesterday, I posted a new style support question :slight_smile: - in : https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/translate-social-sharing-php-question/2381

Hope it’ll work out. I understand you guys had to build it up again from 0. For us, as users, it used to work very good - i believe the support was the best there is. And we could always find simular problems in the forum. The change for us as users was a bit of a shock. But you must have heard that a couple of times :slight_smile: so I know you guys are doing the best to make the support futureproof.
Again, maybe it’s a matter of time for us -users- to get used to it. I’ll try to help where I can in the user forum, and I think it would be the best if the facebook themeX usergroup would also help at the forum (!). That should be valuable, as some real specialist out there are active on facebook - but not on the forum.

Thanks for your effort. Sorry for my frustrated cry out :wink:

@MacMartino, appreciate your feedback!

The new forum will quickly be populated with new answers with the added benefit of people being able to bookmark or like certain posts that in turn helps to social proof the results (something we couldn’t do on the old system). There is also always a bit of a transition to any new workflow as we’re still making tweaks based on behavior and pain points we see. Just yesterday, I announced the first round of changes to help improve the experience. We’ll continue to monitor this and adapt as needed.

We would welcome your contributions in the Conversation Forum. We’re also very thankful for the people who run and contribute to the user run X / Pro group on Facebook and would always be happy to have anyone contribute here who would like to. We have high hopes for this forum with the focus right now on getting the support process as optimized as possible.

All my best!

One thing; I found it weird that there’s not any response on the question I posted in Support. That used to be so quick. Any thoughts on how questions are being answered - in what order?

You posted it in the wrong forum so it was moved to Support after nearly a day when it was discovered. We’ve added a global message at the top and will leave it there until everyone gets used to the workflow. We aim to answer all questions in the order received but posting in the wrong forum will delay a response as well bumping threads as every new reply adds the ticket to the end of the queue (as explained on the how support works article).

Hi there,

It seems that you have deleted your post.

Kindly create a new thread under the support section and specify your question so that we can provide some answers.

Thank you!
