How to find API key?

Hello. I am the admin for a site (www.tidessamui.com) that uses the X theme. The license for that theme is owned by our previous website admin, so we purchased a new license. I would now like to link the theme on our website to this new license. How do I do that? In the WP back-end is a section X Addons–>Product Validation, which requires that I enter an API key. Is this how I link my license to the theme?

Also, we have a private clone of the site we use for development and testing. How can I also apply this license to that dev site?

I have followed this process but it’s still saying I need to validate my X theme with an API key. Does this just take time to update or am I missing something?

Hey There,

If you need an api key that means you are running a very old version of X which I would recommend updating manually to the latest which will solve the validation issue. You can read how to update via ftp here: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62
