How to create footer the easiest

I want to create a footer with cornerstone and was wondering what the best practice would be, currently im thinking about creating my footer on a empty page and copying the code into the footer in my theme, any suggestions on how I do this the easiest ?

Hi,

Thanks for writing in!

Cornerstone is only for Content. The footer is separate and cannot be edited inside cornerstone.

You may switch to PRO theme and use the footer builder to create your footer.

I know but if I want to create a custom footer or lets say we call it a widget instead, then is I possible to inlclude create a section and then copy the code into the widget?

Hi There,

In that case, you can try creating your own custom shortcode (https://www.sitepoint.com/create-custom-shortcodes-for-wordpress-in-two-minutes/) and then place it into a Text widget area.
